World Famous Game Designer Joins Stern Pinball

World’s Only Maker of Arcade Pinball Games Welcomes Steve Ritchie, Game Innovator and Designer

MELROSE PARK, IL – March 3, 2011– Stern Pinball, Inc., the world’s only maker of real pinball games, announced today game designer Steve Ritchie will be joining the Stern Pinball team. Ritchie is often referred to in the gaming world as the “The King of Pinball” and “The King of Flow” for his quick paced pinball games utilizing shot-based flow patterns mixed with target-based geometry.

Ritchie has been designing pinball games since the 1970s, producing such notable titles as Superman, Stellar Wars, Black Knight and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Ritchie was the first designer to incorporate multiball game play, ball lane change, transparent playing fields, as well as the first multi-level pinball machine. Ritchie had previously been contracted by Stern Pinball in 2001 to design eight machines including Elvis, Spider-Man and Terminator 3.

“I am elated to bring my 30 years of design and game experience to Stern Pinball and work as part of the new Stern team,” said game designer Steve Ritchie. “I am honored to work with Gary Stern and Dave Peterson, along with the talented Stern staff on an exciting new chapter in pinball history. Steve Ritchie joins the Stern Pinball and the Stern family tradition of producing quality pinball machines for young and old. The company traces its lineage to Philadelphia in the 1930s when Sam Stern entered the business of operating pinball games. Stern passed his lifelong enthusiasm for the game and the business of pinball to his son Gary Stern who founded Stern Pinball. Today pinball remains one of America’s favorite pastimes.

We are going to make a Premium Limited Edition version of our Avatar
pinball, and this Limited Edition will be unlike any we have done before.

We are not just decorating the normal Pro version of this game. The
Avatar Limited Edition will have added game play and mechanical features.

Like all fine art and collectibles, each game will be numbered, with
it's plaque and its authenticity certificate marked from number 1 of 250
to number 250 of 250.

Additions to Avatar contained in the Avatar Limited Edition will include:
--Amp Suit with legs that march up and down, activated by solenoids
--Transporter cover that opens and closes, operated by an added motor
--A white pinball mixed among the silver balls and a sensor so that the
game will have
increased scoring when the white ball is in play
--Shaker motor assembly
--Added game rules and computer code to operate these added devices
--More figurines decorating the game, including
--Banshee figure hovering over the plastic ramp
--Colonel Quaritch inside the Amp suit
--Navi's mounted at the Navi target bank
--Increased number of control lamps and general illumination lamps
--Metal lower arch, enhanced with light up blue translucent windows
--Playfield support slides
--Traditional lockdown mechanism and front molding
--Playfields 1 to 25 will be signed
--Added playfield hard coat
--And of course full chrome package - side armor, lock bar, hinges, legs.

Games number 1 and 2 are already committed to James
Cameron and John Landau, the director and producer of the Avatar movie.

Vi har sett att många kunder sparar sina varukorgar stället för att lägga ordern när de väntar på varor som inte finns i lager. Detta gör att de produkter du redan har i korgen inte blir reserverade, och du riskerar att fler varor säljs ut innan beställningen görs.

Ett annat problem är att vi då inte ser hur många vi ska beställa av varan (vi kan inte se vad som finns i era sparade varukorgar). Förra veckan hade vi en backorder på den förstärkta target:en till TZ och beställde ytterligare 20. När denna åter kom i lager så lade många kunder en beställning på sin lagrade korg, vilket resulterade i att vi sålde slut utan att kunna leverera target:en till alla trots att vi precis hade beställt nya!

Vi rekommenderar därför att du lägger ordern med varor som är slut i lager. Skriv bara att vi ska leverera först när de saknade delarna kommer in i lager igen. Att du lägger fler beställningar på grund av du senare kommer på fler delar som behövs är inget problem. Lägg hellre flera beställningar som vi samlar ihop till en än att riskera att förlora flera delar. Vi plockar ordrar i den ordning de kommer in, just för att kunder att ska få de varor de har beställt (FIFO = Först in, först ut).

Vi har också flera produkter som "monteras" av oss. Så flipper kits, rubber kits, 100-pack med lampor, ben-set och liknande kan man lägga beställning på även om den anges som "ej i lager".

EDIT (från Elisabeth):
Om det finns grejer på din order som vi inte får någon datum på när den kommer i lager igjen, eller det är för långt fram i tid till nästa leverans, då kommer vi att kontakta dig och lösa problemet tillsammans.

I samband med vårt nya partnerskap med PPS, så skulle vi vilja ha önskemålfrån kunder på vilka plaster som borde produceras. Vi vet att WCS står högt på önskelistan, men vad annars?
Vi pratar om WPC och WPC95 spel i första hand.
